Reverse

The reverse of the 2022 Niue Lion 1/2 oz Gold Coin shows a majestic close-up of a lion. Resting on top of the lions head is the Crown of Saint Wenceslas. This crown was originally made in 1346 for the coronation of Charles IV of Bohemia. Included in the design are leaves from the linden tree, a national symbol of the Czech Republic. History

The Czech Mint is the official mint of the Czech Republic. The mint was formed when the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic were divided into separate states in 1993.
