Designed in July 2015 by Jody Clark, the portrait shows the Queen at the age of 89 with the George IV State Diadem on her head. Reverse

The Seymour Panther from the arms and badges of Jane Seymour feature on the reverse side of the 2022 Proof British Tudor Beasts Seymour Panther 1 oz Silver Coin. The design element includes a spotted panther that is seated on its hind legs and supports a shield with the Seymour Wings. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include SEYMOUR PANTHER and 2022.

History

The House of Tudor controlled the British crown for 128 years from 1485 to 1603. A total of five monarchs sat on the throne during this period, with King Henry VIII the most infamous and his daughter, Queen Elizabeth I, the most celebrated. The Seymour Panther featured in this design was gifted to Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII, by the king upon their marriage.
