In February 1932, the United States issued the first-ever Purple Heart to a wounded American service member. Created for US Military members wounded or killed in battle, the Purple Heart was conceived during World War I and issued more than a decade and a half after the guns fell silent. The United States Mint honors the 90th anniversary of that first issue with a commemorative bullion series. Provident Metals now has 2022-W $1 Proof American National Purple Heart Hall of Honor Silver Coins available to you for purchase online.
