In the American Eagle Gold Series, the United States Mint offers several options for both investors and collectors. While collectors have a choice between Proof and Burnished coins, with five weights in total between the two, investors have long had the BU version of the coin available in four weights. Today, you have the opportunity to get 2023 American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins in perfect condition online from Provident Metals.
In 1986 when the United States Mint launched the American Eagle Gold Series, the primary option was the BU coin. This option came with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz gold coins. This is the only version of the coin offered in all four weights in each year of availability since then.
On the obverse of 2023 American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins, you will find a front-facing relief of Liberty. This design was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the $20 Double Eagle Gold Coin. The image includes inscriptions of LIBERTY and 2023.
The reverse side of the 2023 American Eagle Gold Coin comes with a vision of the American bald eagle. This newer design was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and made its debut in mid-2021 for the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Gold Series. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 25 DOLLARS 1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD.
The American Eagle Gold Series currently includes five other options outside the BU Series. These include all four gold weights in the Proof Series, as well as a 1 oz gold option in the Burnished Series.
2023 American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins available here earned perfect certifications. Coins with a Mint State 70 grade have full, original mint luster and come with no detracting flaws of any kind on the designs and fields. The Early Release designation is for coins received for grading within the first 30 days of release by the US Mint.
