In the obverse design of the 2023 Australian Koala Silver Coin, Perth Mint offers the final Queen Elizabeth II portrait for the series. This 2015 design from Jody Clark depicts the Queen in right-profile relief. It is accompanied by inscriptions of ELIZABETH II, 1952-2022, AUSTRALIA, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
For the reverse face of 2023 Koala 1 oz Silver Coins, Perth Mint features a new design from Ing Ing Jong. This depiction shows a mother koala climbing the branch of a gum tree as its young joey clings to its back for the ride. History
The 2023 Australian Koala Silver Coin is the last one to feature Queen Elizabeth IIs effigy following Her Majestys passing in September 2022. This coin is also the second in a row in the series with a koala design from Ing Ing Jong.
