Obverse
In the obverse design of the 2023 Austrian Philharmonic Gold Coin, the Austrian Mint features a depiction of the pipe organ inside the Musikverein. The design field comes with various inscriptions that include REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 1/2 UNZE GOLD 999.9, 2023, and 50 EURO.
Reverse
For the reverse face of 2023 Philharmonic 1/2 oz Gold Coin, the mint depicts a collection of musical instruments. These instruments are clustered around a large cello. Austrian Philharmonics were initially available from 1989 to 2001 with face values in Austrian Schillings. Following the adoption of the Euro in the Eurozone economy, the Austrian Philharmonics featured face values in Euros. While the coins are legal tender in Austria, they are not in other Eurozone nations.
