Obverse
The 2023-S Proof Peace Dollar’s obverse side presents Liberty in a captivating left-facing bust, an artful creation by Anthony di Francisci. Liberty’s flowing hair and radiant crown are portrayed beautifully. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 2023.
Reverse
On the coin’s reverse, you’ll discover the iconic image of an American bald eagle a symbol of peace. Unlike earlier designs, this eagle doesn’t carry the US national shield or war arrows. Perched on a cliff, it holds an olive branch, symbolizing harmony. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, PEACE, and the S mint mark.
History
The Peace Dollars entered the scene in the later part of 1921 at the Philadelphia branch of the US Mint. In those final days of the year, the Philadelphia Mint would produce just more than 1 million coins, with mintage figures hitting the highest levels in the program over the next two years.

Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
