Highlights:
Since its inception in 2014, the Perth Mint has annually released the Wedge Tail Eagle series, with all designs meticulously crafted by John Mercanti. While earlier designs were repeated, each year since 2018 has brought a fresh design to the reverse.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2024 Wedge Tail Eagle 10th Anniversary 1 oz Silver Coin, you’ll find a striking portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, intricately designed by Dan Thorne. This left-profile bust portrays Charles III in regal attire, sans crown. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
Turning to the reverse of the 2024 Australian Wedge Tail Eagle 10th Anniversary Silver Coin, John Mercanti delivers a captivating 10th-anniversary design featuring an eagle with outstretched wings soaring overhead. The eagle’s majestic presence is further enhanced by stylized sun rays extending beyond the frame. The inscriptions read 10TH ANNIVERSARY, P125, AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE, and 2024 1 OZ 9999 SILVER.
History
The 2024 Wedge Tail Eagle holds special significance as it marks a decade of this esteemed series. The reverse of these coins features two significant indicators for 2024. Firstly, an engraving commemorating the 10th ANNIVERSARY highlights the journey of the series from 2014 to 2024. Additionally, a P125 mint mark pays homage to the 125th anniversary of the Perth Mint’s establishment in 1899.

These 2024 Australian Wedge Tail Eagle 10th Anniversary 1 oz Silver Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Each coin is individually encapsulated in acrylic capsules. For larger quantities, rolls of 20 coins or boxes of 100 coins are available.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
