The 37 oz Silver Antique Finish Viking Berserker Statue is inspired by the design created by Aleksey Saburov, for the Hobo Nickel Silver Rounds collection. This intricately designed statue offers a hint into the fearlessness of the Viking Berserkers, as he stands, axe wielded high, preparing to strike out at the sea serpent attacking his longship.

The Viking Berserkers were some of the most fearless soldiers in the ancient world. In the Viking Age, which began in 793 AD, the Vikings spread across Europe and the North Atlantic from Norway. In 793 AD a Viking longship landed in northeast England in Northumberland. From their established foothold, the Vikings spent over two hundred years at war with the Saxons, for control of England and the English people. The Vikings took control of several nations, as they expanded their reach across the globe.

The Viking Berserkers were infamous for wearing bearskin coats into battle, rather than wearing traditional armor. This led to them being known as berserkers, which translated from the Old Norse words for a bear coat.

The 37 oz Silver Antique Finish Viking Berserker Statue depicts a single powerful warrior, standing up in a longship, as a sea serpent is shown wrapping itself around the hull of the boat. Berserkers were infamous for an intense and unmatched skill in battle. Many accounts of the Berserkers suggested that these warriors would almost go into a trance when they were in battle, which allowed them to fight harder and without fear. They almost appeared to be impervious to the pain they felt when struck by their foes.
