Discover a fascinating fusion of gold and polymer with Goldbacks – a remarkable form of spendable gold that holds immense value. Crafted by layering thin sheets of gold between polymer sheets, these Goldbacks bear distinctive designs and carry a special status. While they aren’t considered legal tender, they serve as a form of voluntary currency, allowing you to spend them based on the vendor’s discretion. Notably, New Hampshire stands as the easternmost state to embrace these distinctive gold notes. Provident Metals is thrilled to offer you the 5 Piece New Hampshire Goldback Gold Note Set
When you acquire the 5 Piece New Hampshire Goldback Gold Note Set, it will arrive in protective currency sleeves, preserving each note’s original condition. This collection includes all five denominations from the New Hampshire Series: 1, 5, 10, 25, and 50 Goldbacks. In total, the set embodies just over 1/11th Troy oz of genuine gold content.
The 5 Piece New Hampshire Gold Note Set unveils five unique obverse designs, each tied to its respective denomination. While diverse in appearance, a unifying theme runs through the set. Each Goldback in this collection features a woman accompanied by an animal and a Latin word, forming a cohesive narrative. For example, the 5 New Hampshire Goldback showcases a woman in a dress that says Veritas. This Latin word translates to truth thus showing the design as the personification of truth. Birds are also shown in the foreground.
The reverse side of each note mirrors the obverse design, a result of the delicate nature of Goldbacks. Given their thin composition, any design on the reverse would inevitably impact the front-facing artistry.
Goldbacks made their debut in 2019 with the release of five denominations for the state of Utah. The series expanded with Nevada in 2020, followed by New Hampshire and Wyoming in 2021 and 2022, respectively. With each note containing varying amounts of 24-karat gold, these Goldbacks hold intrinsic value. For instance, the 1 Goldback features just 1/1000th Troy oz of gold, making it one of the smallest usable forms of gold globally. Conversely, the 50 Goldback boasts 1/20th Troy oz of gold.
