The M2 Browning heavy machine gun is one of the most successful arms ever developed in the United States. Famed gun designer John Browning developed the idea for this heavy machine gun after the US became involved in World War I. Though it saw limited deployment in that conflict, it was rolled out in full force when the US became involved in World War II and has seen extensive use from that war through to 21^st-century conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Design

The 6 oz Silver Antique Finish Silver Soldiers Collection Trigger Ted Statue depicts the machine gunner of the 3^rd Battalion lying prone amidst some grass as he looks down the barrel of his M2 Browning heavy machine gun. The recoil on the .50 caliber rounds is so intense that to maintain accuracy, an M2 machine gunner in the field must be in a seated or prone position to accurately provide covering fire for friendly forces.

Antique Polish

Each statue in the Silver Soldiers Trigger Ted release has an antique polish applied. The purpose of this polish is to provide a sense of heirloom quality and help enhance the visual details of the silver statue.

History

Trigger Ted is available as part of the 3^rd Battalion of Silver Soldiers. His squadmates are available in the form of Greaseman Gary and Billy Bullets.
