History

The Canadian Bison Silver Coins were issued by the Royal Canadian Mint for five years, running from 2015 to 2019. Each date mark had its own depiction of the American bison. There are two subspecies of the American bison that include the Plains bison, more common in the United States, and the Wood bison, more common in Canada.
