Provident Metals presents the opportunity to acquire British Britannia 1 oz Gold Coin Tubes online. Introduced by the Royal Mint in 1987, the renowned British Gold Britannia Series has expanded to include silver and platinum versions of the coin. All coins within the series boast the same reverse depiction of Britannia, skillfully created by Philip Nathan.
Highlights:
Britannia gained prominence as a national symbol during the 17th and 18th centuries. With the expansion of the British Empire and the growth of naval power, she became a powerful emblem of British identity and imperial strength.
Obverse
On the obverse side of each Britannia 1 oz Gold Coin, you will discover the likeness of a British monarch. The majority of coins in this series elegantly portray Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. From 1987 to early 2023, the late Queen graced every coin, while her son and successor, King Charles III, now holds the spotlight on coins from 2023 onwards.
Reverse
The reverse side of the British Britannia Gold Coin exhibits the captivating image of Britannia. Designed by Philip Nathan in 1987, Britannia serves as a powerful symbol representing Britain’s naval power and imperial dominance. She embodies the ideals of sovereignty, liberty, and maritime strength.
