Few coins are more popular than the Chinese Panda coin from the Chinese Mint. Available in five weights each year, youll find the Chinese Panda Gold Coins available in Grams as of 2016 rather than Troy ounces. This makes the Chinese Panda Coins the first major bullion series to abandon Troy ounces in favor of Grams. Provident Metals currently has Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin in near-perfect certification available to purchase online.

Highlights:

  • Arrives with a PCGS or NGC protective plastic slab!
  • Produced in Grams as of 2016!
  • Limited number of certified gold coins available!
  • Contains 30 Grams, .9645 Troy oz, of .999 pure gold.
  • Issued a face value of 500 Yuan by the government of China.
  • Bears a Grade of Mint State 69 from the Professional Coin Grading Service or Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
  • The obverse depicts the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests.
  • On the reverse is a new Giant Panda design for each date mark.
  • Please remember that coins in this listing are randomized and you may receive matching items when buying multiples.

When you purchase a Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin through this Provident Metals listing, you receive a coin with a Mint State 69 certification. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster and have no more than two minor detracting flaws present. Acceptable flaws at this grade include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines found outside of the primary focal points of the coins.

It is possible for your Chinese Panda Gold Coins to feature additional labels such as Early Release or First Strike. These indicate a coin that was received within the first 30 days following release by the Chinese Mint.

Obverse

The obverse face of the Chinese Panda Gold Coins includes the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This building is the primary structure in the Temple of Heaven complex that was built between 1406 and 1420. The Temple of Heaven is one of four such Taoist religious sites in Beijing and the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests features each year on the obverse of the gold coin and reverse of the silver coins.

Reverse

On the reverse of Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coins, you will find an image of the Giant Panda. A species of bear native to the central highlands of China, the panda features on the reverse each year with a fresh design element.

History

Chinese Panda Gold Coins debuted in 1982 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz options. In 1983, a 1/20 oz gold coin was added. In 2016, all five weights switched over to Grams with options of 30 Grams, 15 Grams, 8 Grams, 3 Grams, and 1 Gram now available.

Ordering

This is a random year, varied label listing. We cannot guarantee the date mark of the coin you receive, whether it was graded by the PCGS or NGC, or the presence of additional labels.
