Provident is pleased to offer the new Darth Vader 1 oz Silver Coin from the New Zealand Mint. Fans of movies and the Star Wars franchise will recognize this intergalactic villain that has graced the big screen for over three decades. Darth Vader is now featured on a coin that contains one troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998. Inscriptions include “ELIZABETH II,” “NIUE,” “TWO DOLLARS,” and “2017.”
Darth Vader himself stands on the reverse in a raised and polished sculpt. The matte background features the Imperial logo. The weight and purity are stamped around the rim, and the New Zealand Mint logo can be found next to Vader. The officially licensed coin also has a Lucasfilm copyright stamp.
The New Zealand Mint produces coins and bullion products on behalf of Niue, a small island located in the South Pacific Ocean. The mint is privately owned in Auckland, but it regularly strikes official coinage for sovereign governments like Niue and Fiji.
These Darth Vader coins have a mintage of 250,000. Single coins will ship in a plastic flip, multiples of 25 ship in a plastic tube, and multiples of 250 ship in a themed monster box.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
