This is the first 100oz. bar I have purchased (usually get 10oz. bars). I am very pleased with this bar. Great strike, no marks on the bar and it came wrapped in some soft material and enclosed in a opened sides box. I can see how they can be very easy to stack. My safe deposit box will soon weighs a ton as I plan on buying more! :Q"

I agree totally with both John's and Michael's reviews above. It does appeared to have been cut but who cares?! It's a heck of a lot of fine silver for $0.49 over spot. I too had it weighed on different scales: one at a clinic and one at a produce store. The results were identical to those obtained by John in his review. Great item and as always, great service from Provident!"

It is what I wanted, the only thing that supersized me is that it looked like it was part of a long long bar that was cut into the 100 oz bars that they sell, but all in all I might buy another one. I don't have a scale that can handle the 100 oz so I took it to a store & it weighed 6.86 lbs. on 2 different scales. 100 (troy ounces) X 1.097 (avoirdupois ounces) = 109.9 (avoirdupois ounces) / 16 (oz in a pound) = 6.85625 lbs. so with the less than perfect produce store scales it looks right on. Thanks."

It was A fantastic deal. I bought six bars. My safety deposit box weighs about 125 pounds now.
This bar is a big, heavy, block of silver. It’s not shiny or poured fancy. It’s all about the 100 ounces of no frills bouillon. Just what I wanted. This is my first big bar and I’m pretty happy about it.

I’ve bought one of these. I tested it myself for purity. Excellent bar. Not marred or scratched up. A small dent, presumable from someone elses test, but expected. A bit of tarnish, but I expected this also. And excellent product, easily stacked due to uniform size and shape

This is an extruded bar with a bead blasted(?) finish, giving it a “frosted” appearance. The bar I received had one end coarsely trimmed off with a saw or wheel, no doubt to adjust the weight. Not pretty, but silver is silver and this bar has the lowest premium I’ve seen anywhere!
