Credit Suisse first opened its doors over 150 years ago, long before planes and cars were circling the globe. Today, Credit Suisse is still among the top precious metal refiners and financial institutions in the world. As such, they have a range of gold bars to choose from. Learn more about the gold bars offered by Credit Suisse right here, at Provident Metals.
Like many other refiners in the bullion industry, Credit Suisse offers two main types of gold bars.
Minted ingots will typically have design elements on both sides of the bar, rather than just one. Minted ingots also have more refined and sharper sides and edges than cast bars do. Minted ingots on the reverse side typically have a repeating pattern design featuring the name of the refiner, Credit Suisse.
Minted ingots from Credit Suisse will arrive in a sealed assay card with authentication information. This will include information about the bar such as the metal content and purity, a unique serial number, and information about the certified assayer.
Cast bars on the other hand will arrive in protective plastic to preserve the condition of your gold bar. While it’s not sealed with an assay card, a Certificate of Authenticity will typically be included to ensure your gold bar’s purity and metal content.
Credit Suisse has gold bars available in all different types of sizes. Typically, minted ingots from Credit Suisse will be available in smaller sizes ranging from 1 gram to 10 oz. Cast gold bars are available in much larger sizes such as the 1 kilogram gold bar.
One design that Credit Suisse is well-known for is its Liberty bar. These bars are made from .9999 pure gold and showcase the Statue of Liberty on the reverse side. These gold bars come with assay cards.
