Obverse
On the obverse of 1 oz Silver Thanksgiving Bars, you will find a depiction of a bountiful harvest. The landscape-oriented design shows wheat stalks, a bush of apples, pumpkins, gourds, and even carrots. There is an inscription of HAPPY THANKSGIVING on this side of the bar.
Reverse
The reverse side of the Silver Thanksgiving Bars from SilverTowne is blank within the central design field. This is done on purpose by the mint to allow for custom engraving when the bars are purchased directly from the mint. This side of the bar does have a decorative framing with inscriptions of ONE OUNCE and .999 FINE SILVER.

While Thanksgiving was first celebrated in what is now the United States in 1621, the holiday festival is rooted in the period of the English Reformation in 16th-century England. The first Thanksgiving festivals were celebrated during the reign of King Henry VIII.
