I hate ordering off the internet so before I did, I called and spoke with a customer service rep. She was extremely helpful and after hanging up with her, I placed my order. I got what I ordered within a reasonable time. I had such a good experience, I’ve already became a repeat customer. As long as Provident keeps up the good work and I can afford it, I’ll be a buyer. A basic, generic 1 oz buffalo round. Looks ok. It is not a work of art, but that is not its purpose. I got them when they were on sale and it was too cheap to pass up. If you are in the market for pretty and elegant rounds, I would recommend the mercury dime and other reproduction 1 oz rounds from Provident.

I received what I ordered on time and it was even better looking that expected. I will not hesitate to use Provident again for my bullion needs.

I bought 3 of these and I think I bought more for someone in my family on their behave but it’s a very good round and it is very well made definitely a good choice if you want a cheaper round that has a American style coin theme to it.

Received 5 buffalo 1oz rounds in great condition. No problem at all with shipping and it was as fast as any other I have had. Packing was ok but nothing special. Will probably buy from these folks again.

I can’t wait till Provident gets more of these in. The NTR Buffs are turning into the “must have” collectables. They’re flting off the shelfs now.
I’m going to get some of the INCUSE Indians next year but want to top out this years 401K substitution funding with MORE of these Fabulous Buffs. The NTR coin does not have the Mint name which I find to make the appearance cleaner, simpler and more attractive. At 52 y/o these are a window back in time for me when these buffalo nickles actually bought something. Just wish I could afford a gold one!

I have to disagree with reviewer William here. I’ve bought both the NTR and Golden State Mint (GSM) versions of the 1 oz. silver Buffalo, and the Golden State Mint version is much nicer (and I wish Provident hadn’t stopped selling GSM’s fractional Buffalo rounds, but that’s another story!). The level of detail and on the GSM strike is clearly superior and I find them to be much shinier compared to the NTRs more matte-like finish on the Indian head image.

I suppose its a personal preference issue, but if I could trade my 20 NTR Buffaloes for another sleeve of GSM Buffaloes I would. That said, these are still decent generic rounds, and the Buffalo design in general is my favorite, just thought I’d give another perspective. It seems every reviewed product on Provident is given 5 stars, so its hard for a potential buyer to know which is actually a nicer product.

Yeah these coins are awesome, better than I was thinking. I bought the 1/4 oz coins earlier on, but these full ounce coins trump those! Who needs a 401K when you got the silverK?

I just received my first order with Provident-couldn’t be happier! The NTR Buffalo rounds are BRILLIANT! Arrived in Excellent condition. They came in their own tube packed with shipping peanuts to prevent movement. The process of ordering on-line was cause for some anxiety at first but that was quickly cured thanks to a return phone call by a customer service agent [within ten minutes] to help me through the process. My order arrived in the time frame stated and came in super secure packaging. I have read on-line comments both positive and negative about Provident but my experience was simple, easy and executed flawlessly, arriving in timely manner. I received this coin yesterday and found it beautiful. It reminds me of the Crying Indian from the commercial in the 1970’s-remember the Indian who has trash thrown at his feet? Anyway, it is masterfully designed and much brighter and shiney than one might expect from the photo. I like to order from Provident because I know I will always get quality material and especially because I know I can count on Provident to keep my purchases private from a prying government who in some future time might wish to know who has been buying silver and gold. For the price, this Indian head silver round is the biggest bang for your fading dollar and well worth the price.Highly recommended.

I knocked down some of these buffalo rounds not knowing if they’d be worth it, but after I received them and skinned ’em out, I was no longer in doubt. So if you’re a little hesitant about buying some, like I was, don’t be scared…come, join in the hunt for the silver buffalo while they can still be found roaming around on the Provident website.

The NTR round is MUCH nicer. Better detail throughout the images on both sides.

My experience is – at many coin shops, a first-tier generic round like the NTR Buffalo commands just as high a re-sale price as an SAE.

I REALLY LIKE THESE!!! My favorite generic round. Only downside is that the strikes on these coins are not near the same quality as ASE’s or the like. But I still love em.

Like others have stated, the image does not do this round justice. They are bright and shiny. This was my first major purchase and I can’t say enough about the folks at Provident. In spite of my bank giving me a hard time transferring funds for this purchase, the people at Provident were understanding through it all. For me product and customer service are keys to my future purchases and I look forward to doing more business with Provident.

This really is a quality way to invest in silver, I got my shipment promptly. I payed much less then I would have for a MS 69 to 70 with a date, and you still have a marked ounce at a bargain price. I do believe I will continue to watch these rounds for future purchase, once again I really do hope they are not out of stock!! When the time comes for purchases.

Great way to invest in silver, I have read more then a few comment’s on investing in silver. This site offers the most reasonable prices I have seen. Perhaps that’s why whenever I tried to get this kind before they are always sold out !! Ah ha But back to the topic at hand, a lot of individuals say silver in small amounts is easier to unload come time to sell.
