The eagles wings are at its sides and inscriptions include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and In God We Trust. Five Dollars is inscribed at the bottom rocker of the coin.

History

The Pre-33 $5 Indian Half Eagle Gold Coin was struck by the United States Mint from 1908 to the start of World War I. Many gold coin programs around the world were suspended during the Great War, with the Half Eagle not resuming until 1929 for just one year.
