Inspired by the California Gold Rush of the late 1840s, the obverse features a rugged prospector holding a pickaxe and sifting pan. He stands in the rugged Sierra Nevada mountains next to a mule. The inscription “PROSPECTOR” is seen at the top. The design represents the innate human desire for prosperity and adventure.
The reverse features the classic scene of a sleepy Wild West town, complete with a saloon and hotel with horses hitched out front. An inscription reads “ONE OUNCE .999 FINE COPPER.”
Provident’s well-loved original series–featuring our most popular silver round ever–has recently been redesigned. Each Prospector round and bar is made from investment-grade silver or copper at an ISO 9001 facility, making these items eligible for a precious metals IRA. Additionally, the privately-minted Prospector products carry a lower premium than many sovereign-minted products. This allows savvy investors to maximize their buying power.
The Prospector 1 oz Copper Round is the inaugural and flagship product of the Prospector series. This series will expand to include multiple new designs within the Wild West theme. These subsequent releases may have limited releases or mintages. However, the Prospector 1 oz round will continue to be available in perpetuity.
Individual rounds ship in plastic flips. Multiples of 20 ship in plastic tubes and multiples of 500 ship in a strapped monster box. Add an Air-Tite to your order to protect your Prospector rounds.
When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.

The value of copper should go up drastically in 10-15 years as sources will not be able to keep up with demand. These are wonderfully cheap, beautiful, and a decent entry-level investment for those of us who know that the struggle is in fact, real.

I really like this design in the copper round. I missed out on the silver. However, I’m really impressed with how the copper really complements the design (more so than the silver, I think). In fact, I just ordered more. I plan on giving some to my boys for Christmas. As I’ve come to expect from Provedent Metals, the product is excellent.

I did a little checking on one ounce Gold Rounds… In my opinion, this design would do much better than any of the other Gold Rounds I viewed… I love these in Copper, but this design was meant for Gold…
