As is traditional for Australian coinage, the obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her image is surrounded by mirrored, reflective fields. The country of origin, weight, purity, and face value are inscribed towards the edge.
This 2015 special-edition collector piece features the same motif as the 2015 silver Koala bullion coin. A single koala bear is shown perched in a tree with the date, weight, purity, and metallic content displayed towards the bottom.
