The 2017 1 oz Silver Britannia makes a beautiful addition to your bullion portfolio. Each silver bullion round is made of 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver. A new version of this coin has been released annually since 1997, and the 2017 Silver Brit features micro inscribed radial lines. Backed by a sovereign government, your purchase of Silver Britannias is eligible for a precious metals IRA.
The Silver Britannia, like other sovereign bullion, is a common coin for precious metals investors. Each coin is manufactured by the British Royal Mint under strict quality control standards, which helps guarantee purity and weight.
On the obverse of the Britannia, you’ll see a profile view of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Jody Clark, a Royal Mint engraver. This is the fifth portrait of the The Queen featured on UK coinage, celebrating her Majesty’s long reign as a British monarch. The inscription reads “ELIZABETH II,” along with the coin’s weight and denomination.
The reverse features Britannia, the female embodiment of Great Britain (a name that is based on Greek and Roman geographical terms). She holds Poseidon’s trident in one hand and a shield and olive branch in the other. Inscriptions read “BRITANNIA,” “2017,” and “1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER.”
Each Silver Britannia is shipped in brilliant uncirculated condition as it’s received from the Mint. Single coins ship in plastic flips, with higher quantities available in plastic tubes and monster boxes. Provident Metals does not selectively retain bullion based on condition or quality.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
