In 2015, Asahi Refining bought the gold and silver refineries from Johnson Matthey, one of the most recognizable names in the precious metals industry. Asahi Refining now creates high-quality silver and gold rounds and bars. With locations throughout the world (Utah, Florida, Japan, and Canada) Asahi has a global impact on the market. Learn more about Asahi Refining right here at Provident Metals.
Asahi Refining creates silver and gold bars in all sorts of sizes ranging from 1 oz to 100 oz. Minted ingots will show the Asahi logo, metal content, metal purity, and serial number. The reverse will have a repeating pattern of the Asahi logo. Silver bars are made from .999 silver while gold bars are made from .9999 gold.
Cast bars are more minimalistic in their design elements, yet the metal content, purity, and Asahi logo are still shown.
Another option is the American Reserve Series. These bars are made from silver or gold, sourced only from the United States of America. These bars instead of the Asahi logo, will show the American Reserve logo.
Asahi Refining also creates silver rounds struck from 99.9% pure silver. At Provident Metals, we have a few options available from Asahi.
The standard silver round shows the Asahi logo and other identifying marks on the obverse, along with a repeating pattern of the logo on the reverse. Asahi also offers an American Reserve silver round which shows the American Reserve logo on the obverse, along with a bald eagle on the reverse.
Asahi also has a Buffalo Round which uses the iconic James Earle Fraser designs seen on the 1913 Buffalo Nickel. Another unique option is their Lunar Series. The 1 oz Silver Dragon Round showcases a stunning dragon on the reverse along with the traditional Chinese character for the dragon.
