Black Panther, a Marvel Comics superhero, is seen here in a stance showing his readiness to pounce into action. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Jack Kirby, Black Panther first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 in 1966 during the Silver Age of comic books. He was the first African superhero to appear in mainstream American comics. T’Challa, king of the fictional African nation of Wakanda, donned the Black Panther identity to protect and defend his land from enemies. The character first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War is 2016. The Black Panther solo film will be released in February 2018, with the character also slated to appear in The Avengers: Infinity War in 2018.
The officially Marvel/Disney licensed Silver Black Panther coin comes after the successful release of the Silver Spider-Man coin and Silver Thor coin, making it the third coin in their Marvel bullion series. The Black Panther coin will be produced with a limited mintage of 50,000.
The small oceanic country of Tuvalu is located between Australia and Hawaii. The Polynesian island is part of the British Commonwealth. All coins in this Marvel series are struck by the Perth Mint and issued by Tuvalu.
Each Silver Black Panther coin comes individually capsulized. Orders of multiples may ship in tubes or monster boxes.
