Poured Silver Bars at Provident Metals
Of the three main types of Silver Bars, two (cast and hand-poured) involve a similar process in terms of pouring silver to create the bar. These bars, unlike minted ingots, can vary slightly from bar to bar due to how they’re made. With many popular producers of these bars, right here, you can learn more about Poured Silver Bars that are available at Provident Metals.
What is a Poured Silver Bar?
A Poured Silver Bar is a bar that is either hand-poured or a cast bar.
- Cast Silver Bar: Silver shot, or ingots are placed into a mold. The mold has a top and bottom face, enclosing the metal. The silver is then heated, typically through induction technology. Once the silver has cooled it is removed and given design elements to one side of the Silver Bar.
- Hand-Poured Silver Bar: Molten silver is poured into a mold, with the back of the bar being exposed. The metal is allowed to cool before being cleaned. This gives every bar a hand-made look and feel.
Popular Producers of Poured Silver Bars
